At the center of the “Riviera degli olivi” (Olive Riviera), in a lovely gulf, Bardolino is one of the most enchanting places on the lake.
It is famous world wide for the production of the “Bardolino” wine, a young, fresh and inviting wine, ruby red or claret in colour, excellent as a table wine. The “Bardolino” Wine Association has prepared a suggested route, properly marked out, through the villages and localities of production.
It is a journey not only admist luxuriant vineyards and old farms in which winemaking is carried out using traditional methods, but also through the history and art, villas of the past centuries, romanesque churches and castles.
